Should every company use Internet Marketing? Why or why not?

Yes, there is a great advantage to using the Internet as a marketing tool. It provides a great landscape of features and ROI opportunities to help a business grow. Internet Marketing is a very cost effective method compared to the tradition or media marketing methods. It adds value in terms of the cost when compared to the benefits that are derived out of the same money.

Now to look at Internet Marketing as an effective tool and to determine if its right for your business? If your business model is such that relies on human factor and senses, you definitely want to consider spending on internet marketing. However, areas where we see doctors or pharmaceutical products, we might rely more on audio/visual or media clips or word of mouth instead of just relying on the internet. Also, areas like perfumer retailers and companies that rely on smells, I would rely more on brand considerations and what people had to say about the product. There are many such products or services which will be dependant on the human reference or senses. I would say building a website is a good practice to establish an internet presence for any company, but one might want to consider the following factors.

1. Fits your business goals and objectives.

2. Generates business, not just traffic and rankings

3. Can be tracked from top to the bottom to measure impact and ROI.
